Our Mission at Pet Homes is to improve the Standards of Cattery's

With this in mind in1999 we set out to test all the materials available, from wood to UPVC , plastic to galvanized steel,  to Fiber Glass.

We Tested all the available materials at our own cattery

"Snugglepuss Cats Hotel"   Web Page: www.snugglepuss.co.uk

We found that the best material is Fiber Glass.

With Fiber Glass we can build the chalets in one continuous unit without any seams. No silicon sealer for the cats to pull out. No joints for water to get into. No painting, very easy to clean and will last a life time with no maintenance. The units will also have a re-sale value, even after many years service.

Glass Fiber is not the cheapest but it is the strongest construction material used to build chalets, Just think the Royal National Life Boats are built out of Glass Fiber and they put to sea in storms with no damage.

New standards are being introduced by the environmental health department of most councils. They specify any new builds are in non-porous materials.

Memo

Fiberglass is a very hard-wearing material and will last many, many years without any maintenance at all but it is an expensive material.

But if you want to build a cattery that will have no maintenance for years and years,

Still have a re-sale value at the end of it,

Keep up with all new regulations for the foreseeable future.

Be the best cattery in your area.

Then read on through our web site and become the most successful cattery's in your area.

Our Feelings

We at Pet Homes take the long term view.

We at Pet Homes love cats and think  whilst the cat is in a cattery, he or she should be warm, safe and content, have ample room in the Chalets and Runs to move about. This results in a happy cat and an even happier owner From then onwards word of mouth will be your best advertising..

We feel that the Cattery should be easy to clean, for the full life of the cattery and not only for the first 5 years,

Maintenance should be as low as possible, not only does maintenance cost money it takes up valuable time.

We also think that when you buy a cattery it should not be of a construction that it is losing value like a car, we think that at the end of your cattery career you should be able to sell on your chalets and runs in as good a condition as they were purchased.

This can ONLY be done with the fiberglass Chalets and Galvanized runs.

At Pet Homes we build both.
